Dr. Mel Ramos-Cabrera

LASER TECHNICIAN

  • Beautifying patients is my passion. Even though beauty goes beyond the surface level, when a person looks good on the outside, they feel good on the inside, and this is the most rewarding part of the profession.

  • Mel Ramos-Cabrera is a laser technician who has a wealth of experience in skincare and treatment dating back two decades. Originally from the Philippines, she became a Board-Certified Dermatologist in 2003 after completing medical school in 2000 and becoming a licensed physician. She practiced for 14 years prior to moving to Victoria, BC, Canada, in 2017. As a dermatologist, she was highly trained in both cosmetic and medical (pathologic) dermatology, having treated a variety of skin diseases and conditions. Her medical knowledge, as well as her hands-on approach to patient care, made her a well-respected clinician among her patients and colleagues alike

  • Outside of my busy work schedule I have multiple hobbies, including:

    • Watching Korean movies and TV series

    • Cooking a variety of dishes, as well as trying different types of cuisines from around the world (Food is her love language)

    • Gardening

    • Traveling

  • After almost two decades of working in customer service and client management, having worked for global brands such as Chanel and Burberry, he has built his reputation on being an honest, organized and detailed oriented team player. 

  • When not at work Michael devotes time to personal fitness, a fine art practice and his Chow Chow, Iko!

Pamela Hain

Certified LASER TECHNICIAN

  • Pam has always had a passion for taking care of her skin, this is what led her to the aesthetic industry. Her attention to detail and passion are impossible not to be felt while you are in her care. Her goal is to educate all her clients how to take care of their skin, so everyone can feel good in their own skin.

  • Pam started as a certified aesthetician receiving her Diploma from Blanche McDonald in Vancouver, BC. She quickly realized her passion was in laser technology and was introduced to Laser Hair Removal in 2006. This was just the beginning as Pam is now certified in 12 different laser platforms and energy devices. Pam is also certified under the Canadian Laser Safety Inc. as an Aesthetics Laser Safety Officer.

    All this training teamed with her years of experience in the aesthetic industry makes her an expert in the trade.

  • “I take every opportunity to grow professionally and personally. When I’m not in the clinic I enjoy boxing, trail running with my dogs and spending time with my family.”

  • Pam’s favorite product is hands down the SkinCeuticals Phyto Corrective Gel. This is a product she takes everywhere and has done so for years. It is incredibly hydrating and soothing and can be used on all skin types.

    Pam's favourite treatment is the Laser Genesis. This treatment is commonly used for Rosacea patients however it has a dramatic effect on collagen production, and gives your skin a beautiful glow.

 

 
 

Yana Taylor

REGISTERED NURSE, BScN

  • Yana comes from a long line of artists, with her great-great grandfather Giuseppe Cali being Malta's most famous painter. With creativity in her genes, Yana became interested in the artistry involved with facial rejuvenation utilizing dermal fillers and neuromodulators (such as Botox). Each client has their own unique beauty that Yana works with delivering only the most natural results.

  • Before Yana had even graduated from her nursing program at the University of Victoria she was asked to work at one of Canada's pioneering aesthetic dermatology clinics where she was trained in ground breaking laser technology and advanced skin care.

    Before long her true-calling and love for facial rejuvenation was realized through the practice of using dermal fillers and neuromodulators. Yana's career as a medical aesthetics nurse spans over 20 years which makes her a true leader in the industry and has garnered her a loyal following.

    Over the years Yana has acquired many certifications that qualify her as a true expert-injector. From the many industry-sponsored advanced courses to becoming one of the first clinical aesthetic nurses to obtain certification by the Canadian Society of Plastic Surgery.

  • Yana's creativity is also evident in her love of interior design. She always has some design- project going on in her home! She also likes to entertain at home and cook.

  • One of her favorite products from the Skinceuticals line is Phloretin CF.
